THE WHARF CONDO | WASHINGTON, DC
This project was designed to showcase a desire for unexpected tones and crystal luxe on the interior palette for a DC Wharf-side retreat closer to downtown. The kitchen island was extended to create a sculptural moment with the drop in its marble edge, and the addition of counter-height seating with a view of the Potomac River. The mirror-paneled walls reflect and refract light deep into the space when the sunlight is less direct, optimizing the potential for natural illumination. A new reflective ceiling plan was created with plenty of additional lighting options inside the condo, replacing the single ceiling light that was originally in the dining room. A completely new plan was developed for the primary suite, incorporating ample storage and closet space, while also providing more privacy from the entrance hall.
