STEEL & TEAL PROJECT | ROCKVILLE, MD
This project began with a full home renovation to the studs of over 5,000 sqft, where the kitchen was to be the heart of the home and outfitted with kosher utility. A soft, cool palette was elected for the finishes to harmonize with the warmer wood tones and burnt umber brick, which was repurposed from the exterior facade during the renovation and incorporated into the fireplace. A similar materiality and color palette were used on the exterior into the interior to create a cohesive balanced design intent. By letting the hard and soft finishes mingle together, the environment seamlessly blends from room to room as you travel through the space. As you may have guessed from the project name, apperances of stainless steel paired with an accenucating teal blue tone were anchoring the center of the home in the kitchen.
